I think Hawaii fits perfectly in their geographic footprint. The Big East is in trouble, they are grasping at straws and that will be the first football conference to collapse.

Besides, once BE gets their TV deal they'll be stable, and they could lose 2 or 3 more members and still be fine, how bout we give the nBE a chance and not start talking sh*t and assuming the dumbest stuff? Specially when you're not even from a bigger conference...

I think Army would be a better fit, personally, given that Navy is in and Army fits right in to the NE footprint...

Neither are going to join. The BE has become delusional.

I would love for Fresno State to join. Don't care for BYU at all.

There is a large base of fans that think the nBE will collapse in it's first 5 years together. It's not necessarily smack but just an outside observation.

I think the TV deal will create more dissention because it will not be anywhere close to what member schools are expecting. Most members think they will get a deal that is slightly lower than the ACC. I think they will get a deal that is between 20-35% of what the ACC gets.

The Big East wants their cake and eat it too. There are huge schisms in that conference which will only become more glaring when the western schools begin to join. Basketball schools, Football schools, Catholic schools, mid-west schools, large urban universities, etc., etc.

This conference will soon be known as the 'revolving door' conference as the Big 5 pick and choose which program they want and the Big East will fall further and further behind the others until they become one of the non-AQ's.

If you've been reading the new BCS bowl alliance structure proposals, no one is lining up with the Big East champ. Their champ will be thrown into the pool along with everyone else looking for an at-large bid to the increasing number of "BCS Bowls".

As the TV money settles in over the next couple of years, I see the nBE getting less, C-USA getting less, SBC getting more. As these moneys get closer to each other schools are going to realize that it doesn't pay to be in a conference with teams that are 1000+ miles away. These conferences will once again realign back into regional conferences and this whole stupid experiment will be over for another 20 years when they will all try it again.

I hate interleague baseball too.
