Three CUSA teams. Two of them are the powerhouses that the Big East gets next year, Memphis and UH.

UAB is pretty bad this year, period.

That's yet to be seen. Yes they lost to Troy by 10 but they also have played south Carolina and play Ohio state this weekend. They will win more games once they start conference play.... They were expected to go 0-3

i know we're not supposed to give this poll any credence but it dang sure feels good to not have anybody on it.

sweet.

p.s. i know we spent enough time on it during 'the streak' that i don't ever want to show up on it again.

I'm surprised Troy wasn't on it last year!

There were Ten teams worse than Troy last season.
I would love to write that column/ranking every week. The new guy is terrible at it. Kentucky shouldn't get the five spot, Kentucky should be a fixture in it this season. The five spot last week had to be Indiana, or perhaps Michigan State for failing to score a touchdown at home against Notre Dame.

Kentucky actually has a win this year, that makes it difficult to keep them in a regular spot. Most of the top 10 teams are 0-3.

Arkansas could very well have repeated at the five spot after their "performance" for want of a better word, last week against Bama. Michigan State was okay against ND, not bottom 10 worthy. Indiana is always bottom 10 worthy...they stink.

Not sure how we managed to stay out of it this week. We better start putting some effort into our performances or we will become a mainstay in the bottom 10.

Like Dahbeed says don't put much credence into this poll. There is at least a team or 2 on here that are more tongue in cheek than fact. (i.e. Kentucky this week). You can tell more after 5 games or so. This is basically message board fodder if you ask me. 03-zzz

From a South Alabama perspective...its...how many weeks can we stay off the list based upon a 6 point win at home against a bad FCS team? Our schedule for the next four weeks... @Miss St, Troy, @stAte. We could be 1-5 very easily before we get a winnable game (home vs. FAU).

Effort isn't the problem with USA. Its TURNOVERS. How about starting Metheny at QB and keeping him in the game till he screws up?
