I never meant we mods litterally created this board, it's part of the bbs network. we DID get this community going and that is what I said.

I agree with OF that you the posters are what make this place what it is. I do appreciate the kind words from chiefsfan and the others who complimented our efforts to make this place better. Like I said previously, the mod staff works tirelessly to make sure this community is the best community for fans to come and enjoy.

I came over here from GTT only a few months after you did, but it was because of a post you put on GTT.

I also remember you guys being the group that got the ball rolling.

You and I disagree on very many things. However, I will say that you take this forum and your responsibility as moderator very seriously.

Not a pissing contest, but I've been posting here longer than 98% of you have been a member (indicative of the exciting life I live). That's what I'm saying. Sure, not many were here, but no one came here for you. As others have said, the board was "started" by everyone coming and posting here, and has continued because of that.

Saying you "started this board" is a misnomer at best, but a lie the way it is read. You've clarified it since the "offending" post. I'll embrace my (self-assigned) role on this board as a guy who chops people back down to size when they speak too big for their britches.

You've been a member since 2005 and I've been a member since 2004 and yes there was a trickle of people here even then who posted on and off. Like I said, the membership has grown since people couldn't post on the ArkSt board and has been a great discussion ground ever since. Go F I U!

Yall can say what you like, but myself along with Owlfamily, insideualr, and CardinalBlackTrojan are the ones who established the community we now call sunbeltbbs.com. We didn't create the actual board, but we did found this "family" we now enjoy.

My thanks and respect go out to every one of you who are regulars here. You guys are the reason this forum is as awesome as it is. I'd argue that this message board is the best college athletics forum on the web, period. The compliments we get from visitors on such a regular basis is a testament to how great we are as a community.

And again, thank you to everyone who came forward with kind words. I and the rest of the staff work very hard to make sure this is a place every Sun Belt fan can call home and be proud of. Thank YOU for being a part of it.

p.s. and this board is infinitely more civil than the old arkstfan sbc board. those were 'hell on wheels' days. it's where i got my avatar. from one of my ulala fans.

This board has been active for a number of years, as early as the mid-2000's and there were many others who posted here semi-regularly before it took off in 2009. There were a number of WKU, MT, and ASU fans who posted a couple posts per day or every few days but when the old board became unreliable, many started coming here. I used to post under a different name back in the mid to late 2000's as well. When the old board became useless more started posting here. Then the call went out to have a SBC skin and the ncaabbs folks requested moderators which is when our slate of moderators stepped up to the plate to moderate. To say they "created" or "founded" this board is a mistatement, as they've mentioned but there were many who had been semi-regulars and or came over at the same time because of the other board's weakness. it wasn't because of 4 posters who stepped up to be moderators, it was because there were many SBC fans who wanted a regular place to post and this was the logical alternative. Credit to them for volunteering to be moderators but there were many who had already been active here and/or came over at the same time which resulting in this board becoming the defacto SBC message board.
