ASU - Memphis
MTSU and Memphis have the in-state thing. ASU and Memphis have history.

RE: ASU - Memphis
I wish we had as much history with Memphis, but we do have our own similar cross state line rivalry with WKU.

Jonesboro to Memphis 70 miles. Memphis leads series 27-23-5

Murfreesboro to Bowling Green 100 miles. MT leads series 31-29-1

Pretty similar rivalries.

This does seem to be a very, very bad Memphis team.

Every time someone says anything about this game (even the Memphis fans), it's usually that they are REALLY BAD.
I sure hope this doesn't jinx us.

This is a rivalry.....and it scares me to think how anything can/will happen.
Over the years, we've taken the wind out of their sail many, many times....

RE: ASU - Memphis
I want to believe Memphis can compete in this game, but there is just too much inconsistency and not enough talent on the Tigers depth chart. Surely it won't be the blow out as it was last season but I think ASU cruises to victory, 35-17.

What kind of **** is this man?

A Memphis fan comes on here, and is one who is not acting like a narcissistic bully, and you respond to him like that?

Dick move.

Even Memphis fans dont associate with Tigerscane. Apparently we were one of the first boards to ban him.

I think a lot of CUSA fans will be pulling for ASU. I will. Memphis has made us all look like crap for years, and when they had a chance to win a national championship and put things right, they blew it... quite possibly at the behest of gambling interests. If you put 100 on them it won't be enough for me.

Its something another Memphis fan said several weeks ago saying they will own CUSA and ASU has no shot this year. IT wasnt directed at that memphis fan. Just thought it would be funny since Memphis got beat by an FCS program but just a few weeks ago we were taunted by this one memphis fan.

Student support is really growing around here...quickly.

Memphis fans have always been overly arrogant. Anything they get on here was done 10 fold to Sun Belt fans on their board. You would think that they are in the SEC to hear their fans talk. That has died down somewhat as of late due to their realization of exactly where they are in the football world (No, MT isn't much better right now). Any Memphis fan that comes on here should expect a little smack. A short trip to their board will tell you why.

Their mood has been severely tempered this time around. I haven't seen any smack from them.
It's kinda boring without it.

Yes and it took an epic beat down from ASU to do it. Personally I hope they take beat downs from all their Belt opponents, though I doubt we beat them...I doubt we beat FAU too. This may be our first (?) 0-12 year. Anyway, yeah, good to see Memphis fans humble for a bit. They need it.

MTSU is hard to figure. You guys definitely have the talent.
Have the players just quit on Stock?

RE: ASU - Memphis
From what I saw, it was a lack of coaching on the D. Our offense is ok and could be better but that can almost always be said for any team outside of the top 25. Our D on the other hand is terrible and our coordinator made zero adjustments to the game...not one that I saw and that is a problem that needs to be fixed before we will win games. If the D coordinator can't do it, he needs to man up and see what ideas his assistants have in the next game to stop some of the plays that were used against us because you can bet we will see them again. We can turn it around and maybe even get bowl eligible. If we win 5 games, I will call it a great season though.

I hope ASU puts 80 on them. I really want Memphis to go winless this year if possible.
