I know this is the last season for WAC football, but you got to love the idea that there are only 7 teams and 2 are not eligible for bowls or conference due to transition year.

I think I saw that too. They were concerned with the all the Bowl Penalties (UCF, Penn St, etc etc.) that they made a rule adjustment.

That just proves there are to many bowls. Does that mean USA is eligible too??? Not that we will have the wins.

I think the transitionals will be allowed if there are spots that can't be filled. They can't get a spot over another bowl eligible team.

So you're saying there's a chance.

Texas St has to be thinking BCS bowl at this point.

Yes, USA is also bowl eligible because of the exception.

We are eligible. UTSA is eligible, but I don't think they CAN have enough wins against FBS opponents to be eligible.

Well, if Houston is as good as advertised, Tx State should be able to run the table in the WAC with no problems. I don't know who else they have non-conference, but even if it is teams significantly better than Houston, they have no shot at a BCS game, even if they go 12-0. Not enough history.

TSU has Texas Tech from the mighty Big 12 up next. That would be a huge win for them. Much bigger then Houston.

I'm pulling for Idaho to win the last WAC title.

Id prefer TxState to win it. Would be nice to have an incoming WAC champion into the SBC.
