Wait, Romney has spent 5 trillion dollars? How'd that little nugget slip by? You'd think we'd have known about the 5 trillion he spent by now.

Can you not read? The thread title is in future tense and I'm sure that you didn't read the article. Seriously, they need to pull Ol' Missy's accreditation.

RE: For all of you who think that Romney will spend less than Obama.....
The fiscal restraint has to come from both the White House and the Legislature. Regardless of what the party in power may want to do, the cold reality is that they are almost out of room to pile on more debt. It's already around 100% of GDP. Two thirds of the economy - maybe 70% - is based on consumer spending. If you haven't noticed, we are trying to dig out of our own deficits. The consumer debt and housing debt is what is actually killing the economy. Couple that with the confusion within the business sector regarding what the future rules will be and we're at our stand still. We're not going to spend our way out of this. Too many business sectors have learned to increase productivity at the expense of labor during this recession, and IMO the current skill set of the unemployed is become obsolete by the day. This is turning into structural unemployment IMO, and the best way to fix this is to develop new skill sets. We still have a few years of people working through their debts until spending comes back to pre-recession levels.

Given what he has said he wants to add to the military alone, I would say it is a fair bet.
