UConn prepares for record crowd

Connecticut's associate athletics director expects Memorial Stadium to be packed for Saturday's game against Georgia Tech.

The chance to see a team of the Yellow Jackets' caliber and the Huskies' surprisingly close game with Boston College last week figure to combine to make this a tough ticket, Tom McElroy said.

"It'll be the biggest crowd in the history of the stadium," he said.

Now in its 50th year, Memorial Stadium seats 16,200. The Huskies move into 40,000-seat Rentschler Field in East Hartford next fall.
