Anyone like watching a bloodbath?
ASU vs Alcorn State will be on ESPN3 on the 25th.

That means that our first 6 games this year will be nationally broadcast on either ESPN3, or one of the major ESPN networks. (Nebraska will be picked up by either ESPN2 or ESPNU according to the Big 10's TV deal)

@ Oregon (ESPN)
vs Memphis (ESPN3)
@ Nebraska (ESPN2 or ESPNU)
vs Alcorn State (ESPN3)
vs Western Kentucky (ESPN3)
@ FIU (ESPNU)

RE: Anyone like watching a bloodbath?
Here's the Cajun TV schedule as of now (10 out of 12 games). I think one additional game will be televised, but I'm having trouble finding the update.

Sept. 1: Lamar (ESPN3)
Sept. 8: at Troy (ESPN3)
Sept. 15: at Oklahoma State (Big 12 TV TBA 2 weeks before game time)
Sept. 29: FIU (ESPN3)
Oct. 6: Tulane (ESPN3)
Oct. 16: at North Texas (ESPN2)
Oct. 23: Arkansas State (ESPN2)
Nov. 3: at La.-Monroe (Sun Belt Network, ESPN3)
Nov. 10: at Florida (SEC TV TBA 2 weeks before game time, ESPN3)
Nov. 24: South Alabama (ESPN3)

RE: Anyone like watching a bloodbath?
Our first five games will be televised. Miss St will be televised no doubt, but it hasn't been announced where yet. Either a pay per view or the early Saturday morning broadcast I'm guessing.

8/30 UTSA - ESPN3
9/8 Nicholls St - ESPN3
9/15 @ NC State - ESPN 3
9/22 @ Miss St
9/29 Troy - CSS/ESPN 3

I still remember when Troy beat Alcorn State 65-0 in 2008... Arkansas State and the Malzahn offense better steam-roll these guys. I'll be watching!

I am sorry but ESPN3 does not count as a "nationally televised" game.

If anyone across the country can access it, I'd call it national.

Televised/streamed online = Semantics.

That would be 95% of all games ever played. JustinTV and other stream sites find ways to get around non-televised events. National to me means ESPN or ESPN2.

How can national mean anything other than the definition?

How about when teams stream their games live on their athletic websites?

The difference is ESPN3 actually sends in a broadcast crew and production truck to professionally produce the game

ESPN3 is not national TV. Computer screen viewing is all it is.

I for one have, perhaps 20% of the time, watch an espn3 games over some of the crap the networks put on "national tv." Could it be that the definition of National TV is when someone is too lazy or unknowledgeable to stream a better game from a computer to their TV. National TV is not always about possibilities of a good game but of who they have contracts with, sports politics, and what is a really "good" story line. The same is true of basketball.

I hook my computer stream up to the big screen, so it looks like a broadcast to me. :-)

I thought ESPN3 just took whatever feed that the university had.

Not if you have xbox live or another device that allows you to view the game on your TV.
