RE: Chick Fil-A declared a HATE group
Why are we bringing back a thread that's 7 years old when it could've been easily a new thread?

So far, it hasn't proved to be a dumb move. They've made their beliefs known very clearly, and it has worked pretty well for them.
Gay people eat chicken sandwiches, for sure, including a lot of my gay friends. They may not get their sandwiches from Chick Fil-A, but plenty of straight people do for them to be successful.
I think it's entirely appropriate for gay people to boycott Chick Fil-A if they choose to do so. And it's entirely appropriate for straight people who are Christian fundamentalists to shop nowhere else. That's how people vote in a capitalist economy. Of course, none of those fundamentalists will be going to Chick Fil-A after church on Sunday. If enough gay people and friends of gay people vote for McDonald's or BurgerKing or whomever instead, then Chick Fil-A may have to change their tune. So far, that does not appear to be happening.
Exactly. Plus eventually this Christian fundamentalists are going to get tired of eating chicken sandwiches.
bwahahahahahahahahaha, well that post aged like a turd nugget.

talk about a blast from that past! that said, when you cling to your political views you can't be mad when those with different views take their business elsewhere...or, as in this case, play politics right back.

And when those who agree with your views form lines out into the street to buy your product, why do you care where those who don't take their business?
And I need to make a slight correction in an earlier post. I said I had gay and lesbian friends who like chicken sandwiches but may not get them at CFA. Actually, they do get them at CFA, or at least most of them do.

There are plenty of gay and lesbian people out there whose identity isn't so wrapped up in their sexuality that it excludes all else. They're likely more concerned with their own real life issues than with whether or not some business supports this or that ideology. I know several who just want to be left alone to live their lives and don't need some group(s) injecting their agenda into their private lives so they can "defend" their rights.

Deep down, I think it irritates the shht out of him that CFA is so successful. The gays wanted them to fail and thought they would once the "woke" crowd got involved. Boy, were they wrong by a longshot and it makes them so mad.

Because leftists are morons.
They are still doing this from something that happened 7 years ago before the Supreme Court invented a new right, making the topic moot. And that position was exactly the same as that of Obama and Clinton only 4 years before. And they are protesting the actions of a man who has been dead 5 years (and who was a wonderful human being).
