Fires in Colorado
Well folks, I have been evacuated once, let back in town, and now just watched some flames top the ridgeline while standing on my street. Nothing like a good forest fire at the foot of Pikes Peak.

I just know it was some whacked out arsonist jerk who set it (they set around 14 last week just up the road). I can think of all sorts of bad things to do to those a$$holes. I am sure we could load them up and Zeebart can find me some folks out in the swamp.

5100 acres burned so far (since Saturday afternoon). Only 5% contained. Hot and windy and no rain in site. Reckon I need a beer.

Pictures attached: One from the road I live on and the other from the office where I work.

Anyone interested, look up the Waldo Canyon Fire. Stay dry my Florida friends.

John

Fire crested from out of a canyon just in time to meet 20+ mile an hour winds from the northwest. Was estimated to move at around 65 miles an hour. Several homes now burned in the NW part of Colorado Springs. Air Force Academy being evacuated. 32000 people out of their homes now. 850 firefighters working the fire and they couldn't stop it. Jumped two defensive lines. Getting real bad.
