RE: Potential "Embarrassing" upsets
61 is always trolling so nothing new.

I agree halftime scores don't count or matter. Fact is Fran got schooled in the second half. I don't buy that we ran a vanilla offense last year on purpose. I think we had a crappy QB that Fran wouldn't stop using.

I have yet to see Fran's potential outside recruiting.

I expect two wins next year, SFA and UTSA, loses to them would be awful. Any win besides those would be awesome but unlikely. Even with playing powerhouses New Mexico, NMSU, and Idaho. Fran and the team showed me little to believe they will do better last season.

Texas St will get there but I fully expect growing pains. Prove me wrong.

Trolling ? Hey we're a member of the Sun Belt until 2013. Bobcats are still a WAC member til 2013. Answering a post or posting factual info is not trolling. Get real.

Really going to argue the "troll" moniker when anything TXST is talked about? Amazing. Understand you don't like the reference but if the shoe fits? Think that this thread alone is a good example.

Yet youve never been a member of the WAC yet you post over there so what's your point? I just notice that you and a couple other UNT fans that always hop on Texas St or UTSA threads with usually nothing to add. Nothing like posting to just say Tech will have it easy and look how great UNT is. That's trolling. Yes Texas St and UTSA have trolls. You just happen to be a UNT one.

In fairness, all 61 did initially was express his opinion that Texas Tech would beat Texas State easily. What a shocking and controversial opinion...

It wasn't until a Texas State fan said that you guys would give Tech a "better game than UNT has ever thought about doing"(which of course was proven wrong) that things got chippy.

Thank You !!! Their idea of a troll is someone who has a different opinion.

I merely replied to comments made about UNT. Didn't say they were great, just posted some facts in answer to comments. And I've been posting on the WAC board for years; so what ? Texas State folks luv to trash talk, but can't handle it when people respond with actual facts.

As Sly said, this is not the only place that 61 posts and I personally don't mind his comments. He is fine with me. Would like some objectivity every now and then but I am good with the way things are now. No problem.

Texas State will find out a lot more about fb division football this fall. Beating TTech would be fine with me, but talking or posting has come easy to a lot of you TS fans, beating teams will not. I do believe that TS will be fired up and will give TT a battle for a while.

I do hope that a lot of the fans of the fb newbies will stay the course and support their teams because most likely they are going to need it because wins will be few. Look at WKU which was a much better fc ball club than TS, it took them a while but now they have arrived. They are a success to be emulated, and it took them years; no TS is not close to NT or any other Belt football team at this time. FC teams can get fired up and give much better teams a good game or even occasionally beat them; but the problem is that intensity can not be maintained.

I don't disagree.

We got slaughtered our first couple years back in FBS in the mid 90s. To the average joe who would read of a TXST victory the sunday after it would be embarrassing, but given the fact that it's at home, will likely be a sellout, and the players will be playing 20% give or take above their abilities, anything can happen. Good luck, I would love to see Tech go down in San Marcos.

The truth is insulting ?

Sure the odds are against us. But we've had some pretty good games recently. In 2005 we had a scenario very simillar to your 2000 Tech story. However we were FCS with fewer schollies. Same against Baylor the year prior. We've had several Close games but always fell inthe fourth due to less Schollies.

No offense to you 61 but buddy you have to admit that you go looking for it. I have never been on y'alls board but are there TXST fans posting negative comments over there?

Looking for it ? Get a grip. I expressed an opinion that Tech would easily beat Texas State. Opinions are allowed I beleive. That probably would have been my only post in the thread until some of your folks started posting about UNT. Then I just answered post that were aimed at UNT with factual info. If you've got a problem with that, so be it.
