From that article:
“Daiquan will be a combo guard with supreme point guard skills and the ability to run the show,” Constitution coach Rob Moore told SNY.tv. “He can also shoot and score at a high level. He will step right into the spot vacated by the departure of [Jeffrey] Jordan.”

I think it is pretty clear the [Jeffrey] is supposed to read [Marcus] but the author made a mistake. Looks like Jordan is not coming back.

Well. I made the school newspaper too. Kinda surreal tbh.

It also was pretty evident by the fact that UCF is pursuing 2 unsigned 2012 guards this spring. Don't get me wrong, I love MarJ on the team, but if he's not going to put forth the 100% effort we need him to, then it's best he just at least give his scholly to someone else.

This team will be leagues better without Marcus and AJ Rompza.

Their attitudes were, at times, stumbling blocks for the program. Cannot doubt the raw talent they had, though.

you are out of your mind. Leagues better than a team with senior leadership? Who is going to replace jordan, a true freshman? We don't have any 5* guys lined up to replace him. Don't be ridiculous, its a huge loss no matter how you look at it.

Not sure if DJ has recruited better players, as he says he is, but this is the best thing to happen to UCF basketball. He is unathletic and just tried to run people over and get a blocking foul called. Good riddance.

our second leading scorer and a senior leader not on the team is the best thing to happen? Unathletic? I didn't know a guy who could dunk over a defender at 6'3 could be unathletic (Jordan has done this more than a few times). Some of you nerds truly amaze me with your lack of sports knowledge.

I will agree he hasn't gotten much better since his freshman year, but he is still pretty much our best scorer next to Clanton on a team that truly lacks any scoring punch. The fact you don't even know who would replace him pretty much solidifies the point.

Replace 15 points a game? Big deal...If Sykes can make free throws he scores 15 plus our 2 new PGs can both score...Next question. But not sure how successful this team will be without a true center.

I just got back into town and saw that not only is Marcus Jordan leaving but our very own Kruciff is the source. Impressive.

+1 to Kruciff for being a reputable source despite being an anonymous message board poster.

Who knew that our little UCF board was that popular?

In response to the impact of Marcus leaving, I don't think it will be a crushing loss but its definitely not a positive for this next season. Although it seemed last season that he lost a lot of his motivation and teams figured out how to stop him from slashing to the hoop, he was still our 2nd best scorer, a team leader, and had the ability to play high-level defense when he was in the mood.

I do agree that the team has areas of need more pressing than the guard position, such as quality shooters and consistent production from the 5.
