Wow !!......................... Not
http://www.sunbeltsports.org/ViewArticle...=205437497

NEW ORLEANS - The Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced today that six games on the 2012 Sun Belt football schedule have been selected to air on ESPN3.

The addition of games announced today adds to an ever growing list of content that will be provided by ESPN during the 2012 Sun Belt Conference football season. Eight games have already been announced that will air on ESPN2 or ESPNU and with today's announcement, ESPN's total number of Sun Belt broadcasts now stands at 14. More games could be added at a later date.

Currently the Louisville at FIU game is scheduled to air on ESPN3, but may be added to the ESPNU schedule (My comment -- a team slated to leave the SBC might be added if we are lucky, because they're playing the Big Least?).

The Sun Belt Conference's growth in television continues as the 2011 season saw the most broadcasts ever during a football season with a total of 56 games televised across multiple networks and affiliates. For the 2011-12 academic year the Sun Belt Conference is projected to have over 180 televised events across all sports.

The 2012 season marks the first year of an eight year agreement with ESPN that includes five Thursday/Friday match-ups on ESPNU.

No, but I believe they got their degrees from the North Korea school of journalism.

In regards to FIU being picked it totally fits with ESPN's mindset. They give TV time to those who performed last year.

FIU did have good wins against Louisville and UCF and went to a bowl.

They could care less what confrence FIU is moving to.

I went into the link.

Look at the teams they picked.

Cajuns, stAte, FIU, WKU, Troy.

The first 3 went to a bowl, the 4th was eligible, and the 5th has the best performer over the last 5 years.

Not surprising at all.

I guess the SBC can be tickled pink over all of these great "TV" games. ESPN3 is not television, no matter how you spin it.

Aren't all of the ESPN3 games available to be picked up by a regional network? I have friends that have abandoned television for the internet so it is becoming a viable market.

ASU has at least 4 on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU (national), some of the ESPN3 games will end up aired reginally I imagine and the Oregon game should a ta minimum be PPV.

Bottom line is that I expect to see every game this year live or on television without leaving the state.

Cajun and Trojans start conference season on ESPN3.

http://www.ragincajuns.com/news/2012/6/7...h=football

Troy will want to start the season on the right note, and Louisiana wants to show they are not a one season wonder.

I plan on making that game.

Good Luck, Troy has never lost a Home opener with our current head coach ( Been coach since 1991)
And we are going to be presenting our new field turf for that game.

Troy is actually 24-0 in home openers, we won three in a row before blakeney. What makes me salivate even more is that Louisiana is 0-21 in road openers. That's a combined 45 years of ass whooping that will culminate September 8th! Should still be a great game though.
