Thanks. I think we are taking a good crowd down. We had 700 requests for 200 tickets. More tickets have been released since, so hopefully we'll have a good showing. I'm headed down after lunch. Go Warhawks!

Will there be anyway to watch it online, like from LSU's website or something?

Im not sure I will be able to watch tonight without feeling sad. I normally watch the SBC teams every year, but I just dont know if I can do that this year. I will try though. Good luck

Maybe next year we can all do better in the OOC, so we don't have ONE freakin' team in the baseball Dance.
I think this may be just the second year EVER the SBC has only gotten just one in.
stAte has gotten better, but the Cajuns, Troy, MT, and USA have gotten worse.
UALR is UALR-- You would think they should have enough funding (without playing football) to field a decent baseball team.

Maybe it is just a fluke year. I went back and looked. Combined, SBC teams lost 29 OOC games by 1 run and another 15 games by 2 runs. Now I didn't look at 1-2 run wins OOC but those numbers tell me that just a break here or there throws another 15+ wins in the column and improves RPI.
The most snakebit team seemed to be South Alabama. They had 5 one run losses. ULL also had 4 one run losses. FIU played FSU tight and ULM played Baylor tight in 2 games. FAU swept Bama at home and ULM took 2 of 3 from Tenn...but then again, Tenn could only manage a couple of wins at all against the SBC and several of us beat them.
This isn't to point to moral victories. It is baseball and funny things happen. I believe Bird of Paradise had an article talking about how young the conference teams were as a whole. Looking at how close a lot of games OOC were, then I think we aren't in too bad of shape and just need some things to fall our way.

I know ASU loses Jacob Lee and Michael Faulkner to the draft this year. But thats pretty much all we lose. It will be a strong league next year, but the lack of experience killed most of our teams in early OOC games. ASU loses 7-1 to Ole Miss its 3rd game of the year, and then turns around right at the end of the year and pretty much dominates that same Ole Miss team to an 8-4 win. Experience matters.

MT is losing just one player of significance, but he's our best hitter and a 4-year starter (I think).

FIU loses Mike Martinez, Pablo Bermudez, and likely Jabarri Henry this year I think. That may be the most anyone loses. Troy loses Ray, but they had a really young offense.
I didnt think Tyler Ray would ever graduate...
