You're right. USA is a horrible school. It's not like it has a $450 million endowment, a full medical school, a community that supports it, or anyone could get a job with a degree from USA. It's really horrible. You've figured it out.

So Eagle Green, where do you attend classes? or which one of the campuses of UH or UNT did/do you attend?

Don't feed the troll...

Oh, and we have a baseball team. Does UNT?

UNT. Just have a lot of friends at UH plus I'm from the Houston area and took some summer classes there.

It's funny that this UNT fan tried to list Alabama schools by relevance, yet look at UNT's relevance... if anything, it's a tie between Rice, UNT, and now UTSA. Congrats.

That is one of the many High School "Games of the Week" that are played at Ladd Stadium.

It's actually from that one spring game we played at night our second year. The google search even had it labeled as such! That ********* still tried to pass it off! Haha.

C'mon guys go easy on him. Clearly he saw the picture and it looked similar to a UNT game and thought it was legit.

Besides I wouldn't dare try to compete with UNT. With that huge market they have I bet ESPN is going to be all over their Schedule. CUSA picked up a gem. 05-stirthepot

What I would like to see with regards to TXST Bobcats, and Louisiana Ragin'Cajuns is to play season ending game in Houston. The LaTex Bowl. The sponsor could be Firestone where the rubber meets the road or perhaps Goodyear. Both fan bases have lots of alumnus in Houston, fun week end in a fun city.

Of course this would need to be part of a season ticket package for both schools, needs to be strongly promoted in the Houston area. Houston is an area where both schools want visability for recruiting with almost seven million people in the Houston Metro area.

Reliant stadium is where I think it should be played. At one time a UL alum was a minority owner of the Texans and may still be.

That stadium is at least 20k seats too big and that would be on a year where both schools are having exceptional seasons. You'd be lucky to fill half that if both schools are having even average seasons.

Well not at all. The combined abbreviation of La and Tx is LaTex. As even people from MoanRow know latex is rubber the two words form a good Homonym.

Firestone has a latex plant in Lake Charles La, and Goodyear in Houston, Tx so we've got latex rubber plants in both states that are business rivals.

Now if you want a good example of stretching things. How about ULM being called the home team in Little Rock vs Akansas. Home team? Do you guys decide how many tickets Arkansas gets, does your PA announcer call the game. Does ULM work the clock, provide people to hold the downs markers, paint the field? No? Then I guess you decide to accept a pay day, and that is OK.

In hindsight, his post may have just been a play on words. I read it as him saying "La-Tex" is a stretch as Louisiana Lafayette and Texas State are hardly the two schools that best represent those two states, but re-reading it, he might have just been making a play on latex and stretching...

I think your first inclination is correct. I give him credit though he could claim either version.

Who better to create this game? Perhaps LSU,and TAMU? Well I guess neither can afford the cut in seating capacity. In ones case they already tried to steal all our original ideas. Geaux is for 'go' not an LSU original, but back then at USL. Another local cheer at USL since at least the 60's not an LSU original. Hot boudin, cold couscous come on Cajuns, back then known as Bulldogs, posh posh posh, for push, push, push.

This stadium would be just about right for the Cajuns and Bobcats, is about the same distance from either school. Yes indeed, I think both these schools would be wise to pursue such a rivals game even if some do not like the word play. Word play IMO always creates some level of curious interest.

The stadium is just too big. I think you'd see far more games that were half empty, then ones that got 40k+

From a news piece I saw recently the Astrodome is a no go. Not in good repair. I agree it would be a better venue in it's prime.

That is why I stressed that it needs to be part of the season ticket package for both schools. I was part of the crowd at the New Orleans Bowl at 42k and it was alive. So if the two schools can get 40K between them and I think they could, then there would be a good starting point.
