Phil Steele Pre Season 2012 All SBC Team
The Sun Belt is led by FIU and WKU who both have seven 1st Team All-Conference players including FIU RB Kedrick Rhodes and WKU TE Jack Doyle. Louisiana fresh off their first ever bowl game is well represented with six 1st Team players led by RB Alonzo Harris and Arkansas St has arguably one of the most underrated QB’s in the country in Ryan Aplin.

I'm excited about Drayton Calhoun... He's an LSU transfer with tons of speed. Our RB position will probably be one of our strongest this year and could carry our offense. I can't wait to see him test the waters against McNeese State.

Jalen Fields is a former 4-star commit to Georgia. Monster of a man. Steele didn't mention the other former 4-star commit (Ole Miss) Delvin Jones who is going to be a major pain in the back side for opposing offenses. Yet again, Steele missed another former 4-star commit (Ole Miss) Tig Barksdale, who is going to bring a nasty streak to the Cajuns defense. Tack on two of the top returning corners in the SBC in Melvin White and Jemarious Moten, Cajuns might be better defensively then they were last year. That's going to be a stretch but with the offensive power that is returning...they won't have to be that good to win an SBC title.

Some of these players are good projections, but have yet to put foot on field. No doubt it will be a very interesting season for all schools.

DB Don Jones is the best player on the field when stAte plays - yet he is nowhere to be found.

And Taylor Stockemer will be 1st team all SBC, unless he has to play hurt. Book it.
