You are right. We would be shocked. Now, UAB winning it in 2020 or 21 would not shock me at all, because Clark is one of the top two coaches in C-USA (FIU has the other).

Good info...never heard that you were just 7 points away from hosting

To be fair he's counting a game USM was down by 10 point to UNCCs with just over a minute to play and USM scored a TD to cut it to 3. UAB did not get to kick a extra point after scoring in OT so thats another point if they kick it

If you want to look at it on the other end USM was with in 3 points of finishing 3-5 in conference. Beat Marshall by 2 and Tech by 1

I believe we all can look back and say we were with in so and so of winning.

Western was with in 12 points of winning 4 games and lead late 4th in 3 of them

Up 4 on Marshall with 6 to play loss by 3 after fumbling on the Marshall 20something yard line

Up 7 on ODU with 2 minutes to play loss by 3 when ODU kicks a fg on their 3rd play with no time on the clock

Up 4 on UofL with 8 to play loss by 3 and missed a fg as time ran out

Loss by 4 to a FCS team after being up 21 points
Sorry, I should have used the sarcasm tag...dude has said the 7 point **** in many many many posts

We were an offensive coordinator away from hosting. Damn you Marshall for not hiring Dawson at the end of the 2017 season!

I'm sure Southern Miss will be better this season, but I'm not seeing the C-USA Championship in their future. I fully expect North Texas to represent the west. Our offense should be electric, and Littrell and his staff are loading up on grad transfers to shore up the weak areas in our depleted defense. Today, North Texas added an Arizona State DB that was a 4 star recruit and a national top 25 DB when he came out of high school. From what I'm seeing, UNT is looking to make some serious noise this year.

You’re seeing what you wanna see....just like everyone else.

Had an buddy who happens to be an Ole Miss fan tell me after Eli left “Man we’re gonna be even better! We signed this kid that’s even better than Eli!”

We all know how that turned out. I don’t care if you are Alabama you are going to have a down year after losing half a hunnert seniors. And y’all aren’t Alabama yet.....
