RE: It is always assumed that Rutgers or Uconn would be #16..what about Lville?

Since nobody there cares about Rutgers this is a myth and you don't just magically get TV sets. Otherwise, though, I like Rutgers. They're hard to hate. Adding them to the conference, though? I don't think so.
You're right that on the East of Hudson we're not that relevant. But in NJ which is the 11th largest state we get more and more interest all the time. Playing Miami, FSU, GT, VT, Clemson, UNC, UVA, UMD, Cuse, Pitt etc. will only enhance that.
That being said if academics didn't matter to the ACC suddenly, I think they should and would go for Louisville. Too much basketball money being left on the table. And their football isn't half bad either.

University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. Yes, they are currently DII but their teams are called the "Tarzans" and "Janes." Now, that IS COOL! Plus how cool is this logo? I've (ahem) never seen anything like it!

I know that post sounded arrogant now that I look back on it and I truly didn't mean for it to come out that way. I agree that Rutgers is big (as it should be) in New Jersey.
I guess I'm just not in favor of further expansion with Big East teams right now. Even if we lose 2 members, 12 is a solid number.

Understandable. Our problem is crossing that threshold from awareness and t-shirt wearing/bumper sticker sporting to constant sellouts and all eyes on the tube when we're playing. We really need to up the game that much further for that to happen.
