If we're adding a non football school, there isnt much to add besides UTA if the criteria is close to footprint, state, large enrollment and large market with no FCS football. North Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, UNC-Asheville, Texas A&M Corpus Christi are about all I can come up with. There really isnt much to choose from.

I see no need to add anyone that doesn't play football. Personally, if I were commish, i'd be figuring out a way to get rid of the ones that don't.

Why is Benson so heck set on adding UT-Arlington? Doesn't make any sense.

Do the SB schools just not want competition? Looks like they would just move down to NAIA if that's the case. Just seems like they are not trying to improve the conference, yet they think they deserve a good TV contract. What's the point in going after GaState if they are not interested in building the product? Kind of like they are going just part way. Then to add UTA looks like they are going backwards. Really weird.

I believe UTA will be added as a travel partner for TxSt and also to balance out UA-LR.

Personally, I don't want to see any more anonymous non-footballs.

If you cannot add someone with football I just don't see it. But it's not my call. Just seems some of the things the conference is doing is crazy.

We're not going to ask UALR to leave, so we add another non-football member to balance them.

Uh. CoC is a good school. But I say no. Lets not add any other non-football schools.

Oral Roberts? No one in Tulsa supports them except those who go to ORU. Let them hang out elsewhere.

Lets just take Appy and Ga Southern and sit at 12. Or just sit at 10.

Besides, we don't need to take anyone. At most, we will lose only two more schools. Is CUSA going to 32 teams? No.

USA is a newbie to FBS. So is Georgia State. So is Texas State. Lets give the newbies a chance to get up to speed.

Oops. Noted. Take one of the two and just work on getting everyone up to speed.

If I was the commissioner I would add small market schools that have quality programs. The Sun Belt should go for quality programs such as Troy and like minded schools that can put a good product on the field and good crowds in the stands. Trying to be anything else will result in mediocre ranking and stagnant attendance. App St and Georgia Southern are really the no brainers. Add UTA to offset UALR and you are done.
