So does anyone else notice they are ranking the SBC teams in the exact order they finished last year? I can pretty much assure you that the teams will not finish in the same order as last year; I doubt that has ever happened before.

What I see is that based on 2012 season memberships the MAC has 7 members in the bottom 1/3 of this ranking, CUSA has 6, the MWC has 5, the SBC 4 and the WAC has 2. So each non-AQ conference has about half its membership in that category...

If you go by quarters, the bottom 1/4 has 5 CUSA, 5 MAC, 4 MWC, 3 SBC and 2 WAC.

This was how the SBC teams finished in 2011:

and they rank the SBC so far as:

#75 FIU (to CUSA 2013)
#77 North Texas (to CUSA 2013)
#90 ULM
#108 Troy
#113 Middle Tennessee
#117 FAU

This was how the MAC teams finished in 2011:

and they rank the MAC as:

#80 E. Michigan
#86 Ball State
#89 Kent State
#91 Bowling Green
#106 Miami (O)
#110 C. Michigan
#115 Buffalo
#119 Akron

C-USA in 2011:

they rank C-USA as:

#82 East Carolina
#97 Rice
#107 UTEP
#112 Memphis (to Big East 2013)
#114 UAB
#116 Tulane

They put Memphis 2-10 (1-7) ahead of UAB 3-9 (3-5) and UCF should be behind ECU, but other than that it has been exact order of finish from last year.

Please kindly explain what this means? Perhaps it makes sense to most, but I don't get it.

It was a thread I accidently linked instead of the Sentinental site. I correct the link in my original post to the Sentinental.

Seeing WKU ahead of Toledo, Nevada, and East Carolina is a very good sign. The Sun Belt has made progress. Big time progress.

Agreed. Plus UL and ASU are still on the board. Air Force is in at #71, so the MWC has at least 6 programs rated below the Ragin' Cajuns and Red Wolves, the MAC has at least 9, CUSA at least 6. I don't count the WAC, as it is no longer a viable conference.
