Sun Belt and potential members

#13 Louisiana
#40 Texas State
#50 South Alabama

#79 Western Kentucky
#81 North Texas
#104 New Mexico State

Having three top fifty and (potentially with GaSo) nine top one-hundred programs out of two-hundred eighty-nine isn't bad at all considering the competition. The loss of FIU and UNT will hurt, but the addition of TXST and GSU with the possible addition of GaSo will more than offset that.

Our gals just won the SLC for the 3rd time in 4 years. Last year they finished 2nd but took the conference tourney.

Our guys are having a down year (for them) after winning the SLC 3 yrs running. They have been to the NCAAs 2 of the 3 last years. They were the last team out in 2010 (because they didn't take the tournament.) Right now I firmly believe they have to win the tournament to get considered (get the bid)
Started out like gangbusters, killing in OOC, but injuries and lack of hitting has doomed them in conference.

Not to hi-jack the thread to baseball, but geeeeze, have our bats been disapointing or what? I honestly believe we have the talent there, but b/c of injuries and just plain unexplainable slumps by different key people at different times, we have struggled to put together anything beyond several games this season. I still have a stong belief that we can put it together and get hot for the conference tournament though. TxSt just has to get hot at the right time...
