I agree. Maybe they can donate enough to tear down the wall at Strahan, that would be a big improvement. 04-cheers

Yes. The Fields have been very involved and generous ever since Texas St announced its intentions of moving to the FBS. Regardless of conference affiliation they are 100% behind the move and school.

Yes, they stated that they made this donation to show their support to Texas State Athletics and the move to the Sunbelt Conference.

Yes, I do. But not how you might think. I think it's intent is to send the message that our biggest supporter is still backing the Program regardless of conference affiliation. To many bad feelings floating around. Seeing The Field's back the move is huge. I'm excited about our future in the Sun Belt and it's good to see the Field's feel the same way. It's only a matter of time before the SBC takes over the Mid Major ranks. 04-rock

I agree with this. I know it sounds ridiculous, but there has been a small vocal group that has had bad feelings. Unfortunately, they seem not to have grasped how precarious our situation was, and how fortunate we are to land with the Sun Belt conference.

Here is to many years of success and growth of the Sun Belt Conference!

We have that west side upgrade (see picture #2 - 2010) from their donation and it is named in their honor. A few months back they donated 1 mil to construct a Strutters museum in the NEZ (and other enhancements I am sure), now this one.
They are great people and big supporters. It would be nice to see some of the other alum donate also. There are some out there that have yet to do so.

Jim West, a huge supporter of the baseball program, bought and donated the caboose, turned into a suite, at the baseball diamond. He has the first 5 yrs dibs on it.

Until that happens - just need to paint a graphic of a bunch of fans on that wall.

And for goodness sake - only publish pictures of the arena taken from the other end!
