I was a communications major at ASU and a few weeks after that video came out our professor for a class gave us an assignment to create a video promoting ASU. To prepare us for the project he showed us the video as a "What not to do" example.

Although I'm eager to join the SBC, joining 2014/15 would probably be ideal. We need the extra year to raise the money. We are playing catch up after a decade of having an incompetent University President in charge. Our new Pres. Dr. Keel stated that we need an extra $4.4 million to cover all the costs of moving up. Getting that money by 2013 would put us in a real crunch. But 2014/15? We could probably do it by then. The stadium expansion and new fieldhouse would be complete by then and we'd be ready to compete right away. I just want us to get an invite, I'm not necessarily picky about the circumstances. I could wait an extra year if need be.

Yeeeaaaaah, everybody I know saw that and about 70% of them didn't know who you were.

You can thank your football team for getting that off the top of the App State playchart in 2007. It was pretty much forgotten after that.

I get a feeling NMSU will be looking for an exit door every day.

Screw NMSU, if they get in it will be purely to offset App State and to hold us over until Southern is ready. The Aggies are crap and will do nothing but embarress us with our Conference logo on their field.

I would suggest making sure that they have a special clause to leave any NCAA units behind. I doubt they would balk at this point. I'm guessing we have the upper hand. It should be strictly a lifeboat arrangement unless they are willing to accept long-term commitment ties.

Even though we are leaving, I'd certainly like for NMSU to get an invite. They have a great basketball tradition and when they were in the Belt they led the conference in attendance

Couldnt have picked a better example.

Our real video production crew is actually awesome. If you go to playattherock.com, those videos are phenominal, the recruits love em, and they pretty much do one for every game.

I keep seeing "bring in NMSU just till Georgia South gets ready". Here is my question...where are they going to go then? I still think its a good add. Maybe not so much for football but for basketball and I believe their baseball team is ranked. If football is that bad....a win is a win!!

2013-14: App State, NMSU

UALR gets the boot (not sure how exactly).

It would be foolish to get rid of UALR...

Here is a thread on the NMSU board about their football program being DROPPED. Most of them appear to have the opinion that they would rather that their program DIE rather than rejoin the Sun Belt.

There is one guy I feel sorry for on that thread though.
