Yes bobcats are native to central Texas. Quite a few actually.

Bobcats are not normally found in town. They come out at night and also try to stay away from people as much as possible. I'm sure every once in a while you can see one in town but they aren't just roaming the streets. They are a nuisance however, especially if you have chickens.

I didn't know my university affiliation had anything to do with where I reside throughout my life. I will get on that. Thank god I didn't join this board two months ago when I lived in Australia. That would have been ultra confusing.
