You need to quit rattling your saber & pounding your chest and just come into the conference and try to make a contribution. Transition from FCS to FBS won't be as easy as you think.
Are you really trying to brag on a record that is what? 20+ years dead?
Very few of the bobcats think the transition to FBS will be easy. But name a school that doesn't have those same types.
The great things our coach has done is not just talk, he's done it in other stops. That's not to say he can replicate it here, but we happen to think the situation is right for him to do so.
Time will tell. That's all. Time will tell.
EDIT: I didn't say this, but yeah, he's spot on with his assessment of our basketball program. Actually probably a little kind.

He's already paying huge dividends in the recruiting and marketing front. Let's see a coach who has won championships in the WAC, MWC, and SEC and left the BigXII with a winning percentage over .50 Or a coach was one and done losing in the BigXII. Yea UNT has us beat. By the way. When is UNT going to have the funds to expand their stadium again? We are already looking at expanding beyond 30k and have the budget to do it.

Dude, Fran is recruiting great for us, no doubt about it. But part of that is the move to FBS which means a) a bunch more schollies that are open, and b) LOTS of position battles to be had. Don't be like UTSA and disregard some of the underlying reasons we are doing so well on the recruiting front.
As for UNT's stadium, it's brand new, and it's nice (I don't care for the design, but that's nothing more than personal opinion). I'm sure they'll be fine.
Let's not get into a "whose pecker is bigger" deal, because both schools are changing and benefiting from this realignment. Time will tell who got the best of the deal. We think it's us, UNT fans think it's them.

Honestly, I think it is an upgrade for us. Bear with me.
If the SBC is going to have a solo Texas football program then it is probably best that we have one like Texas State rather than one like UNT. Texas State has the potential for some statewide interest where UNT was, as a solo program, only going to be of real interest to North Texans.
That being said, I think UNT has the potential NOW to blow up due to the Rice, UTSA, UTEP, UNT grouping. No longer a solo Texas program and will now get attention statewide. UNT has a clear path finally....dominate UTSA, UTEP, Rice and it will be a whole change of reality for UNT.
I think it is a rare case of win-win-win in this conference realignment mess.
I'm hoping that UNT pulls this thing off.

Nope, doesn't sound hard at all. UTEP will be the toughest. UNT is going to be on sportscasts in Houston, San Antonio, El Paso, and DFW. If they are reporting wins....it's going to help them a lot.

Glad to be in the Sun Belt honestly. We're in here for the long haul. By the way, can some give me some good rep points. (G. Southern FCS fans gave me the bad rep. points)
