the Big East is still looking for #14...they want BYU...but BYU doesn't want the Big East...so Air Force will be the target with Fresno acting as a fall back.

i'm curious how the divisions will work.

The issue with your power rankings is that to the extent a conference made a mistake is not well calculated.

Let's take the Big Ten and ACC expansions. The Big Ten hits a homerun in football with Nebraska. The ACC hits a homerun in basketball with Syracuse and Pitt. Neither conference lost anyone.

After that, I think you could say that the PAC-12 came out well moving from 5 million per school to 20 million per school in TV money. That was huge by Larry Scott to get that expansion done.

The SEC batted .500 with its additions of TAMU and Missouri. They should have picked up Florida State which is deep in SEC footprint. FSU would not have added a market but would have been a beastly pickup.

For the #5 conference I have to go with the Sun Belt. While the SBC didn't add a power UTA, TXST, GSU is generally an upgrade over Denver, UNT and FIU. The Sun Belt is still in the Miami and Dallas market but they've gained the Atlanta and San Antonio markets. If you consider San Antonio and Denver about a wash from the market size perspective the SBC still has a net gain with Atlanta.

#6 I would say is CUSA. They reloaded in Texas and Florida. By going to 14 not only did they add markets but the cut travel some. Overall I would say what happened with CUSA was a push which is better than what the leagues taking a hit can say.

#7 MAC slight hit because of Temple leaving.

#8 MWC got hammered losing BYU, Utah, TCU, SDSU but added some quality in Fresno, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah St and SJSU. The league is about the strength of the old WAC which is not bad.

#9 The Big East miscalculated with Boise State and SDSU. Had the BE waited until may to expand to 12 knowing the new playoff structure and the elimination of the AQ's would have placed the BE under less pressure to expand west.

#10 The Big XII was kicked pretty hard losing Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and TAMU. Equity schools that TCU and West Virginia just cannot replace. They have gone from having the overall football depth of the SEC/Big Ten to becoming a second ACC.
