ESPN looks at VT in 2013
Pretty good analysis, though it hits a lot of the obvious, and they seem to underestimate the fact that the replacing line is mostly upperclassmen that have been under the same coaches that the panel emphasized. I think starter experience counts for a lot, but a guy who's been in the program for 3-4 years is still in a very good position coming in.

nice... thanks for posting link.
I agree that VT will defend the spread much better this Fall... we finally got the GT triple option stopped, now Bud Foster is focused on Clemson, etc.
I also agree that VT has forgotten about Beamerball and needs to get back to its roots.
Offense is a big unknown, but I agree with you that just because the O line hasn't started doesn't mean they can't play - time will tell. I feel good about Logan Thomas but not sure if he has anything to throw to that strikes fear into opposing defenses though.

All the guys behind him had their moments, but always seemed to lack the consistency of Coale and Boykin. Roberts is an experienced receiver, so I'm betting they lean on him to lead, and Davis hopefully will step into his 6' 4" frame and be the big threat he should be. And then Coles is also a senior (RS I think?), so he'd been there for several years and has plenty of playing time. Its just a matter of if they step up.
On a side note, I'm already pretty excited about all the recruits they're already landing. Especially that Bucky Hodges kid, who may be the first prospect I go to watch in HS now that I live in the local area.
