Copy the SEC and have it at the Ga Dome. Ga State will never make it to the championship game so there will be no home field advantage.

However, depending on the interest team hosting may make more sense.

Compromise. Alternate between the Georgia Dome and the Superdome.

I like the highest ranked team hosting.

It makes it more convenient for the fans.
Gives a little more incentive for the schools to invest in their stadiums.
And gets the hosting team's campus a little screen time on national TV during the network pregame announcing/timeouts/commercial breaks.

+1. It also looks big time compared to a half empty superdome or Georgia dome

I like the Superdome, however what about maybe having it in Birmingham?? Especially if there has been talk of moving the basketball tournament to that area.

What happens when the host gets upset early? Not good.

Put it in a REAL tourist destination that is as centrally located as possible. Allows for the most fans from the most schools to attend, and they can make a vacation out of it if their team bites the dust early. New Orleans fits that mold the best IMO.

Put it in New Orleans and the winner gets to come back in two weeks and play again.

Don't put it in Birmingham, as much as I would like it here since I live here, Legion Field is a dump now and that area is very sketch.

Best bet is to put it in the highest ranked teams stadium.

As much as I love New Orleans, just about all of us are near an airport with non-stop flights, or are within driving distance, to Atlanta. And if I recall, the Georgia Dome is accessible from Hartsfield by MARTA.

I was just talking Football Championship game.

Yeah, the BB tourney and baseball tourney need a nice neutral site.

I think Pensacola, with their Civic Center and brand spanking new Minor League Ballpark, is perfect for both.
Not to mention a great tourist destination for those whose teams bite it early.
But as you can see by my location, I have ulterior motives as well.04-rock

Ah, sorry about that. The Hot Springs comment made earlier threw me off track. 04-cheers

I like the New Orleans location as the site.

However, a little north of there is Memphis, or Nashville. One of these could be considered more centrally located.

No, no, and never. We need to have fans in the stands. Everyone already thinks we can't draw flies. Highest seed hosts as a reward for a great season.
