I kind of have to agree with this Smilie, I mean GSU is STILL FCS and wil be FBS in a year.

Happy to have you but cmon now. 04-cheers

I don't think Georgia State fans have learned how to manage hate and still think clearly. If you watch Georgia Southern and App State fans interact then you will see how it is done. And there is no school in this nation that I love to hate more than ole crappy appy. (Maybe UGA but that is a different story)

You guys had hated Texas State after we knocked you out of the playoffs in 2005

I look forward to having a renewed rivalry with Troy from the Southland Football League days. We had some spirited games against each other.04-cheers

Most companies will do that with a new 'rebranding' campaign. NOT change the name....that's just stupid.

My guess is the rebranding will forcus on the logo only. A move to using SBC would be my guess.

True, but just using it as a comparison of relative closeness, and just how far out of the footprint NMSU is.

They could still bus, but would stay overnight. Versus, the entire conference having to fly all of its sports teams NMSU. All of these decisions may be football centric, but they also involve the travel costs associated with sending volleyball, tennis, etc to those sites too. NMSU's pros do not outweigh the cons.

I have a feeling IF NMSU gets in (and Idaho) its football only to offset the travel costs for all sports.....they can go play the olympic sports elsewhere.

My gut tells me nothing else will happen after listening to the presser and interview.....most conferences are done moving and shaking and the teams leftover will still be there in a year to pick up if needed/wanted.
