Hope this is genuine and not just talk. If Benson continues making comments like this one and we then add NMSU I'll plan on having a conversation with him in Hot Springs next year.

Could see UT-Arlington to be announced and can travel w/Tx St. NMSU is out for all sports. Could be a FB only addition if getting to 12 for 2013 since S. Alabama and Tx St would have the transition and their games count and are eligible for conference championship. Not sure if a FCS like App State or GA So is ready for 2013. Either way the SB is making strides with the additions and ready to close the gap with other conferences. Best of luck to ya'll.
Since I live in San Antonio I'd like to see a few games up the road.

He did say they want to add a non-football member so I assume UTA.

He mentioned the Texas to Florida range again. Says large but manageable footprint. No idea if that rules out NMSU. Our AD said he was at WAC meeting over weekend and it was somber.
