Just for comparison

09/02/11 Clark Atlanta(41-7) 9 9 1 19 7 53 0 0 Home 26273
09/10/11 Old Dominion(17-40) 7 7 2 16 7 64 1 0 Home 11701
10/08/11 Murray St.(24-48) 9 11 2 22 10 61 1 0 Home 10963
10/22/11 South Ala.(27-20) 12 5 0 17 8 72 4 3 Home 14086
11/05/11 St. Francis (IL)(27-30) 8 6 0 14 4 41 0 0 Home 11565
11/19/11 Campbell(42-35) 19 7 1 27 6 47 4 1 Home 11125

2011 home game attendence for Ga State. Ga State attendance looks almost identical to Elon University attendance. Ga State has 35,000 current students. Elon has less than 5,000.

Old Dominion in their second season averaged over 19,000. Their first year was also over 19,000.

UNCC's test comes next.

ODU has passed all their attendance tests. They have sold out every game they have played, have a waiting list in the thousands for season tickets. They have now created the demand where they need more seats. Not sure about the time table for them being added. Depends on how quickly they want to move up.

They have done an amazing job. ODU would be my choice if I was the SB or the Alliance. Over App, over UNCC, over Ga St.

Dude you have no idea what you are talking about. Quit the lies. When football was announced donations increased 1000% the FIRST year. 1000%.

Plus, in two years of football we've have two $1million donations. Both came from alumni. Get your facts right. Stop the lies.

They have always been my top choice of the FCS teams, but it seems like they aren't fast tracking in the same way GSU and Charlotte are trying to. From what I heard we tried to get them to play us in Greenville and they said no they weren't ready yet, and we ended up getting Citadel instead. I'm sky high on their potential. I've mentioned several times on this board that long term if ECU is destined to not ever get an invite to an established "power conference" that I'd like to see a new mid-atlantic league formed consisting of schools like

Charlotte
App
ECU
GSU
ODU
JMU
Marshall
Delaware

Maybe toss in some non-FB schools like VCU, Mason, and College of Charleston and you could have something interesting. Of course I believe that's 15 to 20 years away from happening if ever possible.

Looks great to me. It makes alot of sense, which also means it probably wont happen. The fact ODU is not fast tracking gives me greater confidence in them. Theyre doing things methodically, not cutting corners, and if they continue to get the same type of results, I see them FBS and averaging 35,000 a game in 10 years. An App, ODU, ECU conference, with JMU and Marshall would be prime for allof those schools I think..

You do realize, hammer, that polygraph tests dont work right? If they worked, we'd have no use for courts and jurors, you'd just hook the person up, and voila, you'd know if he was guilty or not.

I think something similar will eventually happen. Holland has mentioned the idea a bunch of times. He's probably floating the idea to try to get a lot of ECU fans mentally prepared for it, because there are a ton who would not handle it well. They'll say we just rejoined the SOCON, and we wasted 30+ years of work at the FBS level, etc. Each time Holland mentions any of those teams by name publicly our message boards go into full meltdown mode. Now me personally I'd be fine with it long term if we can't ever work our way into a power conference, but I want to see each of them make their way up to FBS and establish a little credibility at this level before it happens. GSU appears to be the first to make it up, and I expect several others in that group to be up very soon.

You do realize polygraph results are admissible in court and admitted as evidence all the time. You do realize that simple allegations doesn't prove anything about donations being down for GSU athletics. You do realize that the entire Atlanta business community is backing this guy. You do realize that mere charges don't equal guilt.

Wrong. There are two categories of states. Some states only allow polygraph test in court if both parties agree to it. So if they fail it, do you think the defendant is going to agree? If they pass it, do you think the prosecutor is going to agree. Yeah, exactly. The rest of the states do not allow polygraph tests in court AT ALL.

You lie. In your own words of course.

The guy posted something attempting to somehow draw attention away from the point that GSU's athletic donations have dramatically increased since football has started.

I would enjoy seeing your numbers. What were your donations in 2009 vs. 2011 if you have the facts? 1000%, nice try, what were your donations before 200K?

Athletic revenue generated by Georgia State in 2010 was $2.3M or 12% of your budget (USA today).
