Not getting into the paint for the layup...need to get inside and at least get some fouls.

Tough loss. MT needs more size or we will continue to be one and done in the NCAA tournament.

I didn't even know there were 6'5" women in existence much less enough of them for Vandy to get one to play ball...good grief I couldn't even play against that and I was pretty good when I was younger (too short though).

Didn't know there were 6'5 women in existence? We have one on our team... and did you watch our NCAA game a few years back against Michigan State?

Their center Alyssa De Haan was 6'9.

Deleware has maybe the most all around talented player in the game in Elena Delle Donne, younger sister of former MT QB/TE Gene Delle Done.

Elena was the #1 recruit in the country coming out of high school(and had been considered one of the best WBB prospects in the country for years) signed with UCONN and left the program after the first day of summer camp citing burnout and claiming to longer love basketball. She moved back home to Delaware and enrolled at UD in that fall and ended up playing volleyball her freshman year, the following year deciding that she missed basketball she joined the basketball team at Delaware.

As a freshman she averaged 26.7ppg(third in the nation), 8.8 rebounds per game, ranked 2nd in the conference with 60 blocks, led the team in steals and was 2nd on the team in assists. was 6th in the nation in FT%(89.8) oh and set a new UD single season 3 pt record with 66.

As a sophomore she tallied similar totals and became the 2nd fastest player to 1,000 career points in WBB history.

This year Delaware's only loss was @ #5 Maryland.

If you think the Lady Raiders have been good in recent years, Elena had us in her final three(along with UCONN and Tennessee) out of high school. Had she come here(and provided she stayed) we'd be on another level than we are now, possibly a darkhorse national title contender.
