Murph1 Wrote:The word is the Big East will reward the original members with the extra home games. Original members WVU, PITT, SU, & Rutgers will each get 4 home games.
Newbies UConn, Louisvile, Cincy and USF will get 3 home games.
Yet another reason why Big East football needs a 9th member.
Yes, I had thought of that in my prognostications.
You'll note, however, that I gave Syracuse the 3 home games, not UConn. And there's a reason for that. Syracuse had Cincinnati, Connecticut, Rutgers, and Pittsburgh at home. Syracuse's conference away games were West Virginia, Temple and Boston College of which only West Virginia can return the game.
So, either Cincinnati has to play repeat away games at Syracuse, or UConn does?? Hmmm.
Well, with that in mind, then here's a REVISED prognostication....
Week 1
Connecticut @ Louisville
Pitt @ Rutgers
Cincinnati @ Syracuse
West Virginia @ South Fl
Week 2
Connecticut @ Cincinnati
Rutgers @ Louisville
South Florida @ Pitt
WVU @ Syracuse
Week 3
Cincinnati @ Pitt
Louisville @ West Virginia
South Florida @ Connecticut
Syracuse @ Rutgers
Week 4
Cincinnati @ Rutgers
Connecticut @ West Virginia
Louisville @ South Florida
Syracuse @ Pitt
Week 5
Cincinnati @ South Florida
Connecticut @ Pitt
Louisville @ Syracuse
Rutgers @ West Virginia
Week 6
Pitt @ Louisville
South Florida @ Rutgers
Syracuse @ Connecticut
West Virginia @ Cincinnati
Week 7
Louisville @ Cincinnati (the Keg of Nails)
Pitt @ West Virginia (the Backyard Brawl)
Rutgers @ Connecticut
South Florida @ Syracuse
There. Now Syracuse will feel important again.
I have a feeling Louisville at least will pound all of them next year.
And hopefully we will too.
