2. Which non-BCS coaching changes will be most intriguing to follow? There’s a lot of interest in Gus Malzahn, the former Auburn offensive coordinator who took over at Arkansas State. Malzahn is an innovator (think Darren McFadden in the Wildcat when Malzahn was at Arkansas) and, of course, Cam Newton's mentor for a season. He has the right quarterback in dual-threat Ryan Aplin to build his first Red Wolves offense around. Longer-range, Malzahn has the opportunity to make Arkie State—which won 10 games last season—the Sun Belt’s strongest program ever.
