Texas State stadium
On the Texas State athletics site they have a virtual tour of their new 30,000-seat stadium and a webcam of the construction site. Very, very impressive.

Looks like 70% or more of their seating is in the new end zone addition.

Oh, nice drawing of the stadium exterior. The person who did it must have been a TU grad. Notice a lot of fans in Orange.03-lmfao

16,000 along the sidelines. 14,000 along the end zone. Expected to bring in temporary seating in the south end zone as needed until the the next phase can occur

Why so much end zone seating compared to the sides? Nice looking stadium though.

RE: Texas State stadium
A great looking facility, I like it a lot.

I could be thinking of somewhere else, but I thought I'd seen a Texas State rendering that also had an additional deck on the west sidelines that looked really sharp. Maybe it was somewhere else but I though it was the future plans for Texas St.

RE: Texas State stadium
That would be the last phase of expansion. It would add box suites and a third deck on the east side of the stadium. Capacity at this point would be in the 42-45,000 range.

The next phase scheduled for 2014 is to make the south endzone match the north with the exception on the endzone complex which is already complete. It will add bleachers to the endline and add corners. This will place the stadium at a capacity of 34-35,000.

Their stadium is not very big but looks huge on TV due to the way the second deck is designed.

We wouldn't have gotten any looks for conferences if our stadium was under 30k and it was really the Best place to expand at this point.

We can't dig down because the water table is right under the surface. Building additional decks wouldnt add the total number of seats that we want. Bowling in the stadium at least makes an impression that the two sided stadium lacked.
