Your 2011-2012 Missouri Valley Champions are The Wichita State Shockers! They've had one hell of a year. They're 15-2 in Valley play with a home game against Drake on Saturday afternoon left. They're also 25-4 and currently ranked 19th in both the AP and Coaches Polls.

I'd like to congratulate the Senior class in Wichita as well. Garrett Stutz, Ben Smith, Joe Ragland, Toure' Murry and David Kyles have worked extremely hard to get to this point and are looking to make some noise in March. They're a team that is being picked by many to make a deep run in the NCAAs and they're definitely capable of doing just that. They've been a fun team to watch and I look forward to seeing what they can do on the biggest of stages.

They were able to set a school record for wins last year with 29 on their way to an NIT Championship and have bigger asperations this season. Stutz, Murry and Kyles came in as freshmen and as a class I believe are at 96 wins. I don't think any class was ever won 100 games. If they win out thru Arch Madness, the championship game would be number 100 for this group. It will be interesting to see if it plays out that way. It'd be a special way to get it.
