At least Quo Vadis can stand proud that his South Florida Bulls can hang with the "big boys" in the Fulmer Cup Standings.

I have a problem with The Fulmer Cup criteria. You have nearly 100 athletes on your football team. Chances are good at least 1 of them will get in trouble during the off season. After all they are kids and you kids do some stupid sh*t. It should take more than one occurrence for a university to make this silly a$$ list. The minimum should be at least two occurrences. Listing Cincinnati, Syracuse and West Virginia because 1 athlete does something bonehead is just plain goofy.

The truth is they need to call this The SEC Cup. The winner every year should get an SEC invite since they prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they can get it done where it counts in the South; On the field and in the judicial system. Using my criteria one would expect an invite for Clemson at any time. An observation: no way the present TCU difficulties should be counted as more than one. Did the Duke Lacrosse team get only one Fulmer Cup occurrence when they ran the train on the stripper at the party or did The Dookies get special treatment in that poll like they do every other poll?

After a quick review of the present standings one has to ask WTF is going on in the Palmetto State? The rest of The SEC is going to get jealous. Vandy/UT, Ole Miss/ Miss State, Alabama/Auburn need to step it up. No way an ACC/SEC combo should be talking the Fulmer Cup state championship.

Sadly, believe many programs give a "heads-up" in regards to drug testing (i.e. the annual ones) so that most of the players can pass...and most schools don't withhold playing time until a player fails 2 of them.

UF heard the news loud and clear yesterday...so one of their players did this last night:

10th UF Football Player Arrested since Muschamp took over last January

From link below:
Gainesville police arrested the Jacksonville native (AC Leonard) after 7 p.m. on domestic battery charges in which he allegedly shoved and later dragged a woman he had been dating for 17 months out of an apartment by her feet and locked her out.

TCU is only affiliated with the Disciples of Christ, it's not run by them. Making them not a Christian school.

Apparently it hurt TCU's recruiting class.

Quote:The four players -- linebacker Tanner Brock, defensive tackle D.J. Yendrey, offensive tackle Tyler Horn, and cornerback Devin Johnson -- posted bond and were released Wednesday night.

They were dismissed from the team by coach Gary Patterson, who ordered surprise drug tests after reportedly hearing from a high-level recruit that he would not attend TCU because of drug use on the team.

At least the coach took positive action upon hearing the recruit's comments.

That was 100% debunked by the Star-Telegram. One of the arrested originally said 82 flunked a test, then it was 20. Turns out to be five, and four were among the arrested.

Sad part was...in less than 48 hours of a recruit's official visit, he realized that drugs played a key role in some of their players lives.

Props to the kid for even telling HC Patterson the real reason why he didn't want to come to TCU...because others probably saw something similar, decided to go elsewhere...but never told Patterson the real reason why.

Props again to the RECRUIT to knew more about Patterson's players than the Coach knew.
