No one keeps an eye on the brat that already expressed his intentions and has an unhealthy obsession with weapons?
This is first year BS, when they are learning to survive and you lose some people so the others can take them as an example of what not to do. This isn't year 8 material where they have redundant security to prevent crap like this from happening ever again. Why do they make seasoned survivors die like total dumbasses?
The only way anyone left should die from walkers, ever, is if they are involuntarily thrown into a mass of them. And if I'm sleeping in that world, I've got a knife in one hand. Something grabs me in the middle of the night it's getting a new hole in it's face. This show is asinine.
Not to mention that in the past episodes it usually takes several days to die from a bite wound (for instance, Carl).

Just gunna say, the Janis story arc ended on a very weak note in this episode.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead [Warning: Spoilers]
There's only 2 episodes left in the season and a whole lot of ground to cover if they want to wrap it up with even a semblance of what transpired in the comic. I feel fairly certain about what we SHOULD see for the cliffhanger but they have squandered so much time that I don't know if the writers can get us there. As much as I loved the series, I even catch myself telling my wife, "oh, Walking Dead was on tonight", or lately, "We have 2 Walking Deads to catch up on". The punch isn't as personal when you can't remember the characters' names.

Yup. Several people I know just have never returned after the season opening baseball bat episode last year.

If contract dispute isn't resolved, they'll have to kill off Maggie by season's end. That will cause the television series to move even further from the comic storyline.

That because this is a CRAPPY ASS show that should have ended 2 mins into the series. You have to be brain dead to even think about following some of the worst crap ever put on TV. If it doesn't make any sense what so ever it will find its way into this series.

Yep. I haven’t watched one since the baseball bat opener. I have chuckled at online articles that have pretty much put walking dead down every week. Apparently, it has become a terrible show.

I stopped watching last season after I found a Walking Dead podcast that is infinitely more entertaining than the show. They do a recap and just rip the thing apart. I'm still mildly interested in the overall story, but would much rather find out what's happening by listening to people laugh about it rather than watch a really poorly written show.

I still watch it but rarely watch it live. Usually later in the week on demand.

They do great podcasts. I have started watching some shows only because Jim and A-Ron were covering it.
I listened to the one from last week, and then listened to the one from the week before. Very entertaining. More entertaining than their subject matter for sure.

No need to reply to people who aren't saying anything about the episode.
And if by Janis, he means Jadis, it is not clear her arc has ended.

That's what is meant by "replies to thread." They aren't posting in the thread about the show.
I thought this last episode was pretty damn good, for a change. Lots of strategic maneuvering by Negan that actually led somewhere. The puking escape was awesome. It was a reckoning for the coup on Negan for sure. And I like that he manned up to take Simon out squarely and left no doubt. Dwight's back in a pickle but he seems to stay there most of the time.

Yeah, no need for me to post if all that is here is a bunch of people whining about how boring it is.
I think it is interesting to see how this final(?) battle will play out. Final in the sense of a settlement between the Saviors and Rick's crowd.
I think all the whining about how to bring the show to a conclusion is silly, It is a documentary of an alternate future, and futures don't have endings. Those guys would clamor for the story of Western expansion to end when Lewis and Clark reached the Pacific safely. If you want a story with a happy ending, watch Love Actually.

Last night's episode is probably the best in two seasons. We got to see that Negan is a bad ass even without Lucille when he killed Simon without out the bat. The story is departing significantly from the comic book, Eugene's is one example a big weasel on the show he never evolved into a fighter like the comic, Dwight is supposed to take over the Saviors but it doesn't look like that will happen on the show unless next week has some major surprises.

I don't care if the show ends or even want it to. What I'd like is for it to treat it's characters like seasoned survivors and stop spinning it's wheels, plotwise.
