RE: Dunk Of The Year ?????
Although this was an awesome "play" it isnt an awesome "dunk." The reason I say this is because I dont understand how anyone can call this a dunk if his hands never touch the rim, I believe the term for this play is a "throwdown" not a "dunk."

His hand definitely touches the rim, what highlight are you watching?

His hand touches the rim after the ball has already entered the hoop, therefore his hand touching the rim has absolutely nothing to do with how the ball got in the hoop. Im not sure if you are just defending the point that he touched the rim at all or if you think that him touching rim after the ball was already in the hoop makes it a dunk. If you are just defending the point that he did touch the rim at one point in the highlight than you are right, if you are trying to say that the fact that he touched the rim after the shot had been made makes this a dunk than you are wrong.A topic on ESPN today was whether or not it should be considered a dunk despite him not touching the rim before the basket is made, and by definition the answer to that question is no. This is a "throwdown" not a dunk.

You are truly splitting hairs man. Griffin postarized a 6'10 270lb man. Call it whatever you want, it's one of the most impressive dunks I've ever seen.

I don't know how you can watch this and say anything other than, "Wow".

Griffin has the more impressive play, but not the more impressive dunk because it isnt a dunk.

I already said he touches the rim, the reason its not a dunk is because he touches it once the shot has already been made.We can stop debating this already everyone is entitled to their opinion and I wouldnt consider it a dunk. Either way it was a nice play.

So you're not disputing the fact that you're upset that Griffin's dunk is getting more pub than baby Bron Bron's?

Griffin's play deserves more publicity because it was a better play imo, but its not a better dunk because I dont consider it a dunk. You can think whatever you want, this is my opinion.
