Apologizing to WKU fans
I used to give you crap for complaining about the basketball in this league. You were right. The MT women and men combined to go 4-0 last week and lost ground in both polls. Terrific!

Don't know why you'd ever give anyone crap about complaining about our basketball league. It hasn't been good in many years and it's been embarrassingly bad for the last three or four years.

The problem is UNT and MT have risen up. While the Cajuns, WKU and South Al have tumbled.

The Cajuns know an easy fix for their ills, play more 6 on 5 games. 05-stirthepot

I have a suspicion our program's tumbling is somehow related to our newest sport. Probably after things reach an equilibrium, our hoops will rise again.

Hopefully equilibrium will be reached soon :plank:

It is really damn sorry shame about the basketball. The SBC has made very strong strides in football. I can't figure out the decline for basketball since basketball was the entire reason for the conference at one time. And its not like WKU has done jack about it either in the last two plus years--until we got rid of McScrewItUp. The SBC needs to return to top 10 RPI status like it commanded in the 80s.

Is that possible now?

When the 'Belt didnt have football the majority of its resources and attention focused on Basketball. Now that Football appears to driving the bus Basketball has and will suffer IMHO.

I dont know for certain since I was never into College Basketball but that would seem to make sense.[/u][/i]
