I don't know that Steve Shield's teams ever make you feel like they are one of the best teams in the conference but he manages to win games.

Impressive, and frankly better than I gave you guys credit for in the preseason.

Steve Sheilds has really turned it up in the last year or so.

His teams play very tough. But only in the last couple of years has he really turned it on.

Ugly ball at it's finest. MT vs. UALR will be an "ugly" slugfest.

Kermit and Shields play a very similar style of basketball, according to local pundits.

The UALR vs UNT game was the ugliest basketball game I've ever witnessed. It was unfortunate one team had to be crowned a winner that night - but congrats on the great start UALR.

Not sure what you mean by "turning it on", he has been in the league 8 seasons (this is the 9th) and has won 4 division titles.

What always gets me is how he gets UNT to play his game at his pace. Not sure why that happens but it does.

Had it not been for a Taggart Lockhart 3 pointer that bounced on the rim literally 5 times before it dropped NT would have won that game. Getting tired of the lucky 3-pointers UALR. 03-puke

Obviously UALR does have a talented team though.
