He put together back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons in the SEC, but he was suspended from the team not long ago. He would have two years to play after sitting out 2012.

We have several players on facebook welcoming him right now...no other proof can be offere though. If he does come, we are certain to try and get a waiver for him to play next season...

Sick Grandmother

Truthfully there is no proof to any of this, the player who psoted this has admitted he has not spoken to Dyer.

Hopefully no journalists ran with the FB status story.

SEC247 blog has already gotten hold of it. Thats enough for Arkansas media to run with it...

If anything, such reports are premature at best.

Nature of the beast these days. Journalists spend their days buried in people's FB and Twitter accounts.

RE: Looks like Auburn RB Mike Dyer may not transfer to ASU.
He violated some unspecified team rules at Auburn and got suspended and he has a list of things to do to get back on the team. This begs the question as to what it was that got him suspended and if serious enough, does any team want him, depending of course on the reason.

Now, I understand Malzahn coming to ASU can be a boost to recruiting and will make things very interesting in Jonesboro. However, would a back who is a 2 year starter at a major FBS program in the SEC want to transfer, sit a year, and then play against weaker competition? If the conditions to get back on to the Auburn squad were so severe, it makes you wonder the rules he broke and if that is the case, how much trouble would he be? If they aren't that hard to achieve, why would he be leaving? Top rushers in the SEC go a hell of a lot higher in the draft than top rushers in the SBC. He puts up 1500 yards in the SEC they are talking about Heisman potential. he puts up freakish numbers in the SBC no one will talk Heisman.

Loyalty to Malzahn? Perhaps. But we would all be kidding ourselves if we think Malzahn will stick around for any length of time if he wins immediately at ASU. Freeze was one and done. With the number Malzahn has put up at 3 different schools, if he recruits decent and puts up similar numbers, don't you know major schools will be knocking on his door and he could be a one and done as well.

If he does transfer, then congrats. But I would wait until I see him on campus and get the whole story.

OK. Here are the boobies. You should watch what you ask for.

Thought Malzahn was from Arkansas and wanted to get back so much that he couldn't stand it.
