Another site I post on has a feature whereby if you have highlighted text in a post, only that part of the post is quoted when you hit reply. It's a great way to cut out the unimportant information.

There is nothing off the shelf for MyBB for this, and for me it is a low priority ... you can always quote and then delete what you don't want in the composition window.

Yeah, but a lot of people are lazy and just keep hitting "reply" without editing it at all. You quickly end up with 12 quoted posts in one reply that have nothing at all to do with what the new reply is about. If all it took was spreading the word about highlighting the important stuff it would cut down on a lot of unnecessary scrolling.
