My $.02 worth. I am not real pleased with our draw, but for different reasons than some may think. This seems like a carbon copy of last year's draw....Playing in a Big 10 city versus a midwestern Big 10 opponent with all of the UK faithful in attendance.

Between the IU/Big 10 fans and Bluenecks, I fear that this is going to feel like a Iowa home game (just like last year in Columbus :frown: ).

I hope I am dead wrong. But I don't like the looks of this, folks. Feel free to jump on me for it, but I have serious doubts that the much anticipated UC/UK game will come to fruition. We could be headed into a buzz saw again.

Good point Rath.....I witnessed the carnage in Columbus myself......however.....this is year might be different.....

When you got nothing........you got nothing to lose.....bring on Iowa.

Well you'd think the Indiana people would be cheering for
Steve Alford.

I think home-court advantage is mostly being familiear
with the rims and facilities. I've never been in a position
where people were cheering for me or against me so
I don't know if it's that big a factor.

Regardless, we already have enough excuses as to why we
blow it every March so that's one more.

Did we play on the same court for the Purdue game? If so, we cant say we have never been on the court.

The games are going to be played in the Dome.

I think who the fans are going to be pulling for is the least of our worries now. We are going to need someone other than Hicks and Max to step up and make some shots.

Maybe they don't pull for UC against Iowa, but I am pretty sure if UC could get by Iowa, the locals would root for us over the hated Wildcats of Kentucky. Problem is, I don't think there will be many locals there. The UK fans will buy up all the tickets as usual.

Why wouldn't the UC fans buy up the tickets? We travel very well too.

Guess you did not attend the game in C-Bus last year.

The amount of fans we bring are not even in the same zip code as Kentucky.

I don't think it will be near the tense environment the columbus location presented. Anywhere is better for UC than that place. Indiana isn't real close to Iowa, so I only see the diehard fans of that team traveling for that game. Kentucky fans, that's another issue I've never seen anything like a Kentucky fan, they are possessed  from the dark side :roflol:

I have to admit though the UK fans (many of which were older) were actually OK last year in Columbus.

But then again my hatred was drawn towards the ticket scalpers.

Bearcat Legend may remember a comment or two I made to the scalpers about this being their Christmas. I asked one of them if his eyes lit up when the tournament was picked in Columbus and how he feels about shafting people for tickets. He looked pissed and said "I'm a businessman". I'm glad I didn't buy a ticket from those scum.
