With Willie being a big part of WKU as a player and a coach it makes it harder for him to pick up and leave since he does have a true passion as a fan to. WKU is preparing now from what I hear to do things proactively to ensure he stays for a while. But to say he stays when a LSU or Flordia comes calling is crazy... I'd help him pack his bags and wish him luck because thats about all we could do.

I think I would give him McCarney a B+ so far, the man flat knows defense. The players he brought in this past season plus the ones already committed have me excited. The talent level is going to increase with each class and we no longer are getting commitments from smaller kids, they all have size. Our team will have 3 WR's that came on strong at the end of the year back in Bynes, Chancellor and Delgado along with Thompson who showed signs of being a decent player this season with 13 TD's and 6 INT's so far. With USA on the schedule at home, UL, FIU and ASU at home plus Texas Southern and another school to be named later at home, I think we have a pretty good shot at 6-6 next season. Our front seven will be pretty good next season, linebackers should be in top three of belt overall.

My sources tell me if Hudspeth were to go to MSU, at least one person will ask on our message board whether or not UL would have any interest in Freeze.

The kicker might be what happens at Miss State. If Mullens moves on; that may be Hud's ticket to the SEC. Not saying it would happen, only that he would be high on their list (IMO). If the Cajuns administration can come up with a competitive package for Hud and staff; I think he would pass on USM at this point in time. But.......... time will tell.

I imagine some Miss State fans would want a higher profile name, but Hud could take over and seemingly they wouldn't miss a beat, does Hud essentially run the same offense?

An interesting side note, if Mullen goes to Penn State, he and Urban will be in the same division. Just imagine if Adazio finds himself in the Big Ten in a few years.

The word is Mullen is to meet with Penn State officials Sunday. In any case, Hudspeth and Diaz from Texas will be on a top 5 list for MSU. Hudspeth made the final list when Mullen was hired.

Don't give him too good of a contract or you will be stuck with him for awhile if he starts to suck again. See Stockstill at MT. We couldn't buy him out of his hefty contract if we wanted to.
