That will be great for WKU, but damn; I will be pissed if they get the LB invite & we go to Mobile. The LB is in our back yard!

It's a 3-4 hr drive for WKU fans, but yes it would have been your shortest drive

It'd be great to have 4 teams in bowls. Chance for the SBC to go undefeated this year - all of our (bowl eligible) teams can win bowl games this year. Off topic: Vandy's going bowling. That makes me very happy, especially because UT isn't. If they go to the Music City Bowl, I'll be there! Exciting stuff.

It's hard to believe that not only did WKU become bowl eligible, it's that people believe that we could win. Very proud of our team with the pure hell they went through over the past few years. I really hope we get our name called, good or us and good for the belt

ESPN's projection also has all four belt teams bowling. I hope this actually happens because it would be great for the conference.

I know ASU would love another shot at Illinois after all the sucktitude. I could settle for watching UL beat them.

No offense to the Cajuns, but I would hope they would have a better showing against Illinois than they showed against Arizona... at least on defense. Illinois is better than Arizona.

I'm actually on the other side. The offense got it going only in the 4th against Arizona who has the worst pass defense on the planet. Defense needed to play a little better, but truth be told, I expect the Wildcats to break 30 with how good their offense is. A couple of unfavorable positions aided to the defense giving up 45 (starting field position on our 32 and 2 yard line on scoring drives for example). Still, I thought the cajuns should have had a better showing in that game.

Are you implying that Illinois offense is better that Arizona also?
If so, I would have to disagree.
Arizona averages 31 ppg.
Illinois averages 22 ppg.
Now on defense i would have to agree advantage Illinois.
Illinois has also lost 6 in a row.

CBS Sports has all four SBC teams predicted for bowling (2 against MAC, 2 against CUSA):

New Orleans Dec. 17 New Orleans, La. 9 p.m. Sun Belt No. 1 vs. C-USA La.-Lafayette vs. W. Michigan*

Hawaii Dec. 24 Honolulu, Hawaii 8 p.m. WAC vs. C-USA Nevada vs. FIU
(great bowl game for the players, another tough destination for fans on Christmas Eve) - last year it was Detroit for Christmas... this year, Hawaii?
GoDaddy.com Jan. 8 Mobile, Ala. 9 p.m. MAC No. 1 vs. Sun Belt No. 2 N. Illinois vs. Arkansas State

BBVA Compass Jan. 7 Birmingham, Ala. 1 p.m. SEC No. 8/9 vs. Big East No. 5/C-USA W. Kentucky* vs. Southern Miss*

Those are some GOOD teams. Lot of name brand recognition with those teams.
