03-banghead Well, well... my apologies, folks. Until a few days ago, in the football forum at JagsJungle, we had a sticky post at the top containing the useful info I posted about here. Dunno what happened to it but it's no longer there.

Again, my apologies and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

No. Not that I am aware of. I think they still do catering though. They left the downtown location several years back, and bounced around at a few different locations on the eastern shore before thay closed their doors.

Here is the Link Airtroop was talking about.

I really enjoyed the GoDaddy.com(GMAC) Bowl in 2009. The parade, fireworks pep rally, and team luncheon were all a lot of fun. I prefer the GoDaddy.com(GMAC) Bowl's festivities over the New Orleans Bowl's. Walking down the street with your fellow fans to a Winter Wonderland is fun, THE FIRST TIME... I always thought the New Orleans Bowl needed a parade.

Anyways, the only problem I had with Mobile was that it was midweek game. So everything near the hotel where the Sound of the South was staying closed early and there wasn't much to do. I ended up eating at the hotel restaurant a few times. I did find an awesome bar that had a great burger. I forgot the name of it though.

On Dauphin St? Should've been a lot of things open around there.

GoDaddy Bowl is on a Sunday night this year, so Friday and Saturday night everything should be open and great crowds! Was the bar with the great burger, Heroes or Callaghan's? Both are fun bars with good food!

I believe so, we stayed at the Marriott. All that was open the majority of the time we were there were a few bars and a pizza place.

I'm not really sure. I remember having to walk past the bar area to the back where the booths were.

There are so many places to eat on Dauphin, or within a block or two of it, it's crazy. Yelp it next time you're around.

Like I said I loved the festivities provided by the bowl and the city of Mobile was very nice. However, the "night life" that many expect during bowl games was pretty sub-par. I assume it was dull because the was during the week rather than Friday or Saturday.

Yep. Downtown is pretty quiet until Thurs - Sunday. Weekend is much better!

Boo Radley's opened at 5pm I believe and was the Troy bar. The bar right across the street was the CMU bar.

Somebody from ASU needs to contact Boo Radleys or Heroes (the bar across the street) and find out if they want to be their "home bar". I know Boos had up Troy banners and flags and Heroes had CMU flags.

Should have great crowds down there thursday/friday/saturday night.
