We should be in the lead now. You can't fault Marrone or any of the coaches for not one but TWO dropped TD's...

I CAN blame him for punting on 4th and 3 at midfield down 13. I CAN blame him for running the same four plays over and over and over and over again. I CAN blame him for doing absolutely nothing about a team that looks completely lifeless.

We want us to win more than you do.
But I have no idea what team is going to come to play. The road warriors from last year or the crappy road team from this year. The team that beat WVU as badly as #1 LSU or the team that loses to crap teams like UConn and USF?
Way too inconsistent, and I have to put a huge part of the blame on the coaching staff for that. And considering what our last coaching staff did, the last thing we want is another mediocre coaching staff.
Cheers,
Neil

Neil, calling the last coaching staff mediocre is giving them too much credit!!!!!! I think HCDM will be fine. From where GRob took us; there's a ways to go before we can be good consistantly.

Why did Syracuse let Paul Pasqualoni go? In his 14 years at your school he won far more games than he lost; had three 10-win seasons and several 9-win seasons; took SU to the Orange Bowl and Fiesta Bowl (twice); and had Syracuse in the final AP Top 25 poll many times.
Since Pasqualoni left, you've had only one winning season and are already on your second coach since 2005. Do you wish you had Pasqualoni back?

Basically we used to be so good that going 6-6 wasn't good enough. We then made one of the worst coaching hires in history. Then we wanted 6-6 back, now we're back to that.

What he said.....
I grew up near Clemson, and was a Tiger fan during the Danny Ford era... they made the same mistake firing Ford, and look how long it has taken them to contend for the ACC championship.

It's just year 3 of Marrone. Still way too early to determine one way or another on his coaching ability.

Big difference here is Paul P didn't pick a fight with the AD and school administration like Danny did. Danny wanted a dorm for the football team and his bosses wanted an academic enrichment center for all athletes. Danny thought he could get his way if he went out to the IPTAY meetings and fought for it, even after he had been told it wasn't going to happen. Danny found out he wasn't the most powerful man in Clemson.
That said, the AD did screw things up. He should have promoted from within instead of bringing in Ken Hatfield.
