Yes, absolutely. Probably tease it up to 47 just to be safe though ;-)

RE: WKU covers the spread...
Its possible. I know LSU "only" beat UK by 32 and Northwestern State 49 to 3. An average WVU piled up over 400 yards offense against them also. It depends on a bunch of factors, how agressive they are, how long the starters play, how well Jakes plays, etc. It could go either way less than 41 or more than. I doubt their players are as arrogant as some of their posters on their message board. 05-nono

LSU 45
WKU 6

WKU shortens game with run game and covers spread. WKU scores a TD when game well out of hand (against 3rd stringers) and misses XP.

Bobby Rainey runs for 90 yds.

RE: WKU covers the spread...
Honestly there should be no question as to whether or not LSU can cover 41 against WKU, its just a matter as to whether or not they will. Georgia outscored New Mexico State 42-0 in one quarter. Granted WKU is probably a little better than New Mexico State, but LSU is likely much better than Georgia.

Honestly I expect LSU to be firing on all cylinders for the reminder of the season and outside of Arkansas, may not have another team within two touchdowns the rest of the way.

Bobby Rainey and WKU OL>Trent Richardson and Bama OL?

Different D... we will face the 2nd and 3rd stringers most of the game. Rainey did have 155 against a top rated Nebraska D last year.

I'm pulling for WKU. LSU periodically cannot cover the spread. 41 is a lot to give.

Dammit, Rainey had 102 yds and we tried a fake run / pass for a loss of 17 yds on his last carry. He finished with 85 yds.

Congrats on only getting beat by 33?

Not smack talk(god knows we would have been beaten worse), but I don't really believe in moral victories and even if I did, I don't think I'd consider beating a six touchdown spread a moral victory.

Hey Kapp, I know woulda-coulda-shoulda, but we were down 21-7 late in the 3qtr and had 4th and goal from the 1...didn't get the TD obviously, but that would've made it 21-14 late in the 3rd. I think it would have been a much closer score. Make no mistake, we would have been beat soundly. It was a VERY respectable showing for a SBC team 3 yrs into this against the #1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY!! My point is this, the rest of the SBC better take notice. Willie is going to keep bringing those TOP recruiting classes.

Think it says a lot that we hung with LSU as well as most of the SEC schools. Obviously we are not SEC quality, but for one game, we represented.

Here's hoping we win the last two, go 7-5, and go bowling.

SBC scoreboard from Saturday:

WKU 9
LSU 42
21-9 late 3rd qtr against #1

MT 14
ULM 42
Down 35-0 early 2nd qtr.
