Any chance Houston would rather go to Hawaii than Memphis?
The hell with that.
2001 refused to swap to New Orleans denying MTSU and Boise bowl games.
2008 threatened to pull from I-Bowl if Sun Belt invited ending ASU and UL bowl pursuit. AD claims objection was only UL.
Bingo! UL wouldn't help Tech even if it mean't to play them in a bowl. We will take SMU or Tulsa, thanks!

How is it helping them if they'd be bowling anyhow? And I'd think the chance to beat them in a rocking Super Dome would be too sweet to turn down if they were going to a bowl regardless.

No, make their fans fly to Boise for their bowl games, they want to be in that crappy World Athletic Conference, let them enjoy their crappy bowl locations. Besides, I want to play a school from a good conference, not one from the crappy WAC. SMU will be in the Big East soon as well, and are having a good season, so it'd be nice to see them fall into the NO bowl.

Also, I would think Tech would gain from being in New Orleans with ticket sales, above and beyond. Just Say No to Tech.

Whatever man. To each their own I guess, I couldn't wait to stick it to Memphis before this current season started and I can't wait to stick it to Vandy again and neither one of them treat us half as badly as Tech treats you guys.
There's no way having them go to Boise is worse punishment than having them lose to you guys in New Orleans. You do think you'd beat them, don't you?

You forgive and forget bad behavior, you encourage it to be repeated. Boise is a money loser, why help them make money?
Beyond that, why would we want both our bowls to be against conferences rated below the Sun Belt?
